Awesome Camo Dune Racer
This Camo Duce Racer is way better then I expected. It looked cool in the picture but is way cooler in person. Easy to assembly. Poppy did it. The features are great on it. Nice big tires that my granddaughter runs over curbs, rocky terrains, grass. It is roomy and easy to turn. It has 2 speeds, 2/1/2 mph and 6. 6 mph is quite fast so make sure they are comfortable handling the car. My granddaughter is 3 1/2 and has no problem. She said this is the best christmas present. A must have if your child loves to be outside. I recommend it.

***3 year update-My kids still use this, not as much, they are getting bigger and into other things, but both my normal nearly 8 year old and my tall nearly 10 year old still can sit in this thing in perfect comfort. I am still on the original battery. Still have not had any issues whatsoever come up. I read a few reviews from people that sound like the live in very hilly areas or rough terrain disappointed about how this ride on gets around. I guess you have to have realistic expectations. This is not a gas powered 4-wheeler, it is a 12 volt ride on TOY. No, it's not going to be able to rock climb or go up steep inclines. It has no where near the power for that with a 12v battery (you have a 9v battery in your smoke alarm that beeps. What this thing can do with 3 more volts is amazing) and a hundred plus pounds of weight once a kid is in it. It will, on high speed, go up a perfectly flat, dry, grassy maybe 10 to 15 degree incline. But compared to other 12v ride on toys that is amazing, I've been there. We had one the tires were so slick, you couldn't even use it unless it was on rough surface like cement or asphalt, definitely not grass, and forget ANY incline.***

**20 month update**-I have nothing, absolutely nothing negative to say about this ride-on. My tall 8 year old and 6 year old still easily fit into it. It is still in perfect working order. Once in a blue moon the car will stop because I guess shaking made the cable to the battery come a little loose. But the big issue is my tall almost 9 year old is no where near outgrowing this. She has to bend her knees more, but she doesn't mind.**

I searched a long time before picking this ride on toy for my 5 year olds birthday. After a week, I think I did very well. First, this little dune buggy gets around great. It is actually pretty fast in high gear on pavement. It can easily drive through grass and up a 10% or so grade in one part of our yard. The tires have great traction, much better than a smaller ride on we had before where the tires would often spin on a remotely smooth surface. It is very roomy inside. Our 7 year old can easily use it. It is a great car if you don't want your kid to outgrow it because they basically sit in it with their leg extended straight out (at 5), but they have plenty of room to bend their knee if they are taller because they are sitting so flat and there is no dash or anything to get in the way of them doing that. Even the steering column is pretty small which would be the only obstruction. It seems very well made. It actually has a metal frame underneath it. This was about the cheapest ride on we found and it shipped via regular UPS so we didn't have to mess around with scheduling freight shipping and the horrible hassle it would be if the thing needed returned by freight. It was pretty easy to put together. Took maybe 45 minutes and was mostly just putting in some screws. The turning radius is not extremely tight if I had a small complaint. Some people complained about it being a bit too big for their kid who couldn't reach the pedal and that seats weren't adjustable. This is not an issue for us, but all you would need to do is put a small pillow of needed thickness behind the childs back to scoot them forward a bit until they can reach better and to me the fact that I know my 7 year old could use this for at least a couple of years and that my 5 year old can for many years is way more important. I highly recommend.

I have a back yard full of steep hills and tree roots. The last item similar to this was pretty much useless so I searched and searched and finally found this.

My daughters (4 and 6 years old) received this for Christmas in 2015. A few days after Christmas we took it for a test drive in the back yard. My 6 year old was the driver and has not really driven anything that would actually work for years. Within a few minutes she was cruising on low speed all round the yard going up and down the hills and over roots, ditches and small sticks.

The vehicle got stuck once on a hill where the back wheels were coming off the ground and bouncing off a root. I instructed her to back up and go full speed and she went right over it. She ran into a few things and it held together well. The rain began about 30 minutes in so we had to cut the test short. I believe this will be really cool when they both have one and we set it on full speed.

I put this together Christmas Eve which I do NOT recommend. I am mechanically inclined and it took about and hour and a half to put together. A few of the screws were extremely difficult to get lined up with the holes and it almost seemed like something was machined incorrectly.

This power wheels is a lot heavier than I expected. The box is team lift, but I was able to move it around myself.

Check out the video of the first 30 seconds of my older daughter driving it for the first time a few days after Christmas.

This thing is AMAZING! I got mine from the warehouse deals, it said the packaging was damaged but the product itself was fine. Upon opening the box I discovered the seat was actually cracked (so product was damaged) on the side which bummed me out, but I didn't want to deal with trying to return it as the packaging was literally falling apart and I had a terrible time just getting it on my porch without everything falling out. I then became highly frustrated because I had to pretty much empty everything out of the box just to get to the charger and battery to charge it overnight (I didn't want to get the rest out until the next day) and then putting it together was pretty frustrating and difficult for me, a lot of the holes didn't line up easily so you had to try and force them together while at the same time screw the screw in...and a lot of the holes for the screws were actually too small so you really had to force the screws in (hard to turn them!) But once together and everything was ready to go it's amazing! At first my 3 year old took it in our front yard, which has a lot of holes and the hill from the bottom of the yard back up to the house is pretty steep and the car did get stuck half way up in the lower forward gear, but then I found the screw by the shifter and removed it as a guess (I couldn't find anything in the manual about unlocking the higher forward gear) and it turns out my guess was right, once that screw was removed I could push the shifter forward into high gear and the dune racer could then climb up that steep hill with no problem! I've since moved it to the back yard which is still full of holes but the hills aren't as steep, so I replaced the screw in the shifter to lock that high gear out (my 3 year old isn't ready for that lol) and this thing runs all over our yard in the lower gear just fine! it doesn't get hung up on the holes or anything! And it's very pleasing to the eye (pink camo)! It's really the total package - function, looks, and fun! I am so glad I made the decision to buy this! All that frustration paid off in the end!

This made mom of the year!! I bought it for my 5 year old daughter and she almost lost her mind. She loves to drive it. The battery lasts about 3 hours and the tired are big and can handle most terrains. There is a turtle speed and a 'get your running shoes on' speed. I wish there was something in between because shes mastered driving so full out is her only speed now. Im about 100 lbs and am a little less than 5 feet and have ride in with her. The seats aren't very comfortable for me but she doesn't seem to care, she'd ride it all day if she could.

I also love the fact that it has a slow and fast setting.. battery won’t last long if not on a paved road but still fun!

Instructions are easy to follow. Pieces fit together exactly as shown. About 40 minutes to assemble. My daughter loves it. Its pretty robust and seems to hold a charge well. Definitely recommend this toy. Wish the tires were rubber rather than the noisy slippy plastic ones. i would pay more for a rubber tire version.
